Barry Bryan Associates was retained by the Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) to design an addition to Scott Young Public School, including new kindergarten classrooms, an Early Years daycare, and a City of Kawartha Lakes community hub.

The design emphasizes strong connections to the outdoors, with each learning environment offering clear visibility and access to exterior spaces. Dedicated play areas are provided for both the daycare and kindergarten. A new entrance serves the addition, along with expanded parking, accessible spaces, and a dedicated kiss-and-ride drop-off area.
