Oak Ridges Hospice

ORHD obtained BBA to provide prime consulting services for the new community based hospice care facility for families in need. The centre was to be an inviting and comfortable location for patients to receive palliative care, while their families and loved ones can receive grief and bereavement support during this difficult time.

The Oak Ridges Hospice is a community initiative to design, build and operate a five (5) bed Hospice. The plans involved program space, generally conforming to the Hospice Capital Program Design Standards providing: a reception hub, resident and family space, caregiving staff space, client program space, and family support space. The Hospice Building Committee planned for ten (10) beds. In addition, an outreach programming space was planned for the new facility. The site is a former elementary school site with an existing building.
