Durham College Campus Ice

Durham College, Ontario Tech University, and the City of Oshawa were looking to jointly develop a shared athletic facility to meet the needs of the post-secondary institutions and the wider community.

BBA developed this competition-winning sports complex offering the university a dynamic community hub and meeting place for students, athletes and faculty. Additionally, the new facility provides important recreation amenities to the City of Oshawa. Ontario Tech University’s ice arena and future pool complex serves as a gateway building to the new campus—the angled siting of the building allows views into the pool and lobby while accentuating the point of arrival to the campus.
